Last month, I wrote a lot about slowing down. About protecting your energy. About not doing #AllTheThings. ...and then I went and enrolled in university. (Yeah. I see the irony too.) It’s been a quiet little dream of mine for years—to earn a degree. I turn 50 this year, and somewhere between having Les Misérables on repeat and wandering through the Victor Hugo rabbit hole, I came across this gem: “Forty is the old age of youth; fifty the youth of old age.” That landed hard. And here we are. I want you to know: I didn’t jump in on a whim. I spent all of June clearing space—prepping my business for a calmer, steadier summer—so I could start this path without tipping myself into burnout. It’s a reminder I’ll offer you too: If you want to start something new... make space first. Boundaries aren’t about saying no to everything. Sometimes they’re about protecting your Yes. What’s one Yes you’d love to make room for this season? Hit reply and tell me. I’m always curious. |
