Stuff like: “I’ve never been the kind of person to…” “I’m not cut out for…” “That didn’t work before, so…” That’s living from your history. And when you are right in the middle of it all, it’s easy to mistake it for strategy. But what if you didn’t let the past have the final say? What if you paused long enough to imagine what’s next—without asking permission from who you used to be? Take a breath. Take a beat. And ask: If I wasn’t stuck in the past, what would I move toward next? No pressure to answer right now. But that is a good place to start. |
